Smartvue was founded in the hot attic of a log cabin just south of Research Triangle Park, North Carolina in the summer of 1996 by software entrepreneur Martin Alan Renkis. His vision was to make sophisticated network video technologies elegantly simple. Today Smartvue  products are used by many of the largest corporations and most prestigious organizations worldwide. The company has been honored with Best of Show and Innovations awards at CES, as well as highlighted on the Discovery Channel, Forbes and in Wired Magazine.


A Decade of Innovation
Since it was founded, Smartvue Corporation has been an innovator in the wireless network video industry. The company commercialized the world’s first 802.11N network camera, H.264 IP camera, wireless network video recorder, and self configuring network video platform. The company has more than 23 patents granted or published in US, Europe, and China. Smartvue continues innovation into its second decade of investing in new technologies as well as  intellectual property with an experienced team of engineers in the USA and India.
