  •  How do I find the IP address of my Smartvue video surveillance server?

    1.  Use Bonjour (Mac) or Windows Explorer (PC) to find the IP address of your server.

    2.  Connect your PC or Mac laptop to the secondary network port on the Smartvue server. Open a browser, in the address bar enter 192.168.20.1 and hit Return/Enter. Log into the Smartvue server, click on the cogwheel in the upper right corner, and then go to the Network tab. The IP address for your server will be shown there.

  •  How do I access my Smartvue video surveillance server from my smartphone?

    1. Download and install the free Smartvue app for your Android, IOS, or Windows 8 device. Add your Cloudvue login credentials and select your Smartvue camera server to see your cameras.

  •  I have my cameras set to record when motion is detected, but nothing is getting recorded. How can I fix this problem?

    1.  Establish a motion window inside the camera frame to specify the area for motion monitoring. Click the cogwheel in the upper right corner, then go to the cameras tab. Find the camera for which you wish to establish a motion window, and click the "motion" button. Click the "Add" button and adjust the location and size of the motion window. Click the "Apply" button.

    2.  Adjust the Threshold and Sensitivity settings in the motion window to ensure motion is properly detected for recording.

  •  My storage space is filling up and overwriting too quickly. How can I optimize my storage space?

    1.  Video consumes substantial storage space, but can be adjusted and compressed to minimize the file footprint, depending on your specific needs. Here are some suggestions to reduce your video archive size: /1/ Reduce the frame rate on your cameras (7-10 fps is usually sufficient for security purposes).

    2. Reduce the bitrate of the cameras.

    3. Reduce the resolution setting on your cameras.
